The Music for a Sunday Afternoon concert series continues its inaugural season at The Long Island Museum in Stony Brook on Sunday, July 12 at 2:00 pm with a concert by Hungrytown - Vermont-based husband-and-wife folk duo of Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson, together with the series curator, cellist Suzanne Mueller.

The program will feature Hungrytown's unique and beautiful original music and arrangements, blending tradition with a modern sensibility, with the cello providing basslines, harmonies, and descants, as well as a brief solo cello interlude: Stained Glass Morning, by cellist Eugene Friesen, and The Land, movement 1 of Vermont composer Gwyneth Walker's The Green Mountains.

The concert is free with museum admission: Adults $15 Seniors (62 and older), children 6 - 17 and college students with ID: $10; Person with disability (personal care assistants admitted free) $5; Children under 6, active and retired military, and LIM members: Free

Admission tickets can be purchased at the LIM Visitors Center located on the west side of Route 25A (across the street from the Carriage Museum).

You should leave extra time before or after the concert. The Carriage Museum alone is well worth the price of admission, the grounds are lovely, and the line-up of exhibitions is always fascinating,
